"It's not a question of belief, it's a question of whether I have any other information… Look, I gotta tell ya Lenny, I'm just sort of stuck with this one. I'm an investigative reporter, if I haven't investigated it, and I report on it, then I'm just giving you my goofball opinion, I'm not an engineer, I'm not a physicist, I had an office in the World Trade Center, but that's all I can tell ya. I can tell you what I've found, which is they couldn't… look… you know, to me it looks like planes hit the building, and my information doesn't comport with the idea that like, a controlled demolition.

We have looked at that, and I'm sorry if people are upset about this, but we spent a long time, very, very seriously looking at that, and… that just didn't happen…

…No sentient human is gonna believe the Bush Administration's stories about the attack on America. Uhm, the question is, alternative theories are very difficult to prove because… you can posit other theories, but that we can't prove either. The problem is the administration… my concern is the administration's lying is such baloney that it allows, it's like a Petrie Dish for all kinds of other stuff to grow up which may or may not hold water, I can't look at all these, but controlled demolition I can rule out.

I'm sorry, we just, it just… rules out. But on the other hand– it also doesn't comport with the information we have about bin Laden attacking, because, you know, they said, "Don't look at bin Laden", well if they're gonna have a controlled demolition, I mean, you… the information we had that was put out by people like "the towers didn't lean over and stuff" is just false, the towers did lean… uh, and it's that simple.

And the… so the information that was given out… I haven't seen any engineer… it takes two years to wire a building for controlled demolition, and that's an awful lot of people. You'd have to snuff a lot of people… it's Occam's Razor, if you're gonna take out a building, and you could do it by… look, let's remember something, the US government hired bin Laden… to kill people in Afghanistan. Why can't they hire bin Laden for something else? I mean, that's another theory, if you're gonna take out the buildings, you're not gonna do it with dynamite. It's just not gonna happen.

And there's zero evidence, I mean there's absolutely stone cold nothing-nothing there. I'm sorry, Lenny, but that's what I gotta tell ya…

You can have ballroom dancers, you can have great actors, you can have poets, you can have physicists, there's a guy, Dr. Jones, his last big theory was that Jesus met with the Mayans after the resurrection. He's a complete fruitcake, and a complete, utter fraud. Mr. Jones, come at me.

Uh now, here's where I wanted to– at a certain point we have to– what we're doing is we're legitimizing– we have to be very careful when we talk about 9/11 truth. That what we don't let happen, while their story isn't believable, that we don't come up with such goofball theories that are so easily disprovable, that they discredit questions raised about this administration."

Sen. Joseph Lieberman said Sunday the United States should consider a military strike against Iran because of Tehran's involvement in Iraq.

"I think we've got to be prepared to take aggressive military action against the Iranians to stop them from killing Americans in Iraq," Lieberman said. "And to me, that would include a strike over the border into Iran, where we have good evidence that they have a base at which they are training these people coming back into Iraq to kill our soldiers."

The U.S. accuses Iran of fostering terrorism and Tehran's nuclear ambitions have brought about international reproach.

Lieberman, the Democratic nominee for vice president in 2000 who now represents Connecticut as an independent, spoke of Iranians' role in the continued violence in Iraq.

"We've said so publicly that the Iranians have a base in Iran at which they are training Iraqis who are coming in and killing Americans. By some estimates, they have killed as many as 200 American soldiers," Lieberman said. "Well, we can tell them we want them to stop that. But if there's any hope of the Iranians living according to the international rule of law and stopping, for instance, their nuclear weapons development, we can't just talk to them."

He added, "If they don't play by the rules, we've got to use our force, and to me, that would include taking military action to stop them from doing what they're doing."

Lieberman said much of the action could probably be done by air, although he would leave the strategy to the generals in charge. "I want to make clear I'm not talking about a massive ground invasion of Iran," Lieberman said.

"They can't believe that they have immunity for training and equipping people to come in and kill Americans," he said. "We cannot let them get away with it. If we do, they'll take that as a sign of weakness on our part and we will pay for it in Iraq and throughout the region and ultimately right here at home."

To deal with Iran's nuclear ambitions, Democratic presidential hopeful Bill Richardson said tough negotiation is called for.

"I would talk to them, but I would build an international coalition that would promote and push economic sanctions on them," Richardson said. "Sanctions would work on Iran. They are susceptible to disinvestment policy. They are susceptible to cuts, economic sanctions in commodities."

On Friday, Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said Iran's detention of at least four Americans is unwarranted but will not stop Washington from trying to engage Iran on other matters, including its disputed nuclear program and alleged support of insurgents in Iraq.

In an Associated Press interview, Rice also appeared to cast doubt on whether the U.S. would take its tentative diplomatic outreach to Iran any further for now.

The U.S. and Iranian ambassadors in Iraq met last month for the first public, substantive high-level discussions the two countries have held in nearly three decades. Although limited to the topic of violence and instability in Iraq, the talks have been seen as a possible window to better relations.

Immediately after the meeting in Baghdad, Iran announced plans for another. But U.S. Ambassador Ryan Crocker said Washington would decide only after the Iraqi government issued an invitation.

U.S. officials also said they wanted to see Iran follow up on U.S. complaints that it is equipping and helping insurgents who attack American forces.

Lieberman spoke on "Face the Nation" on CBS. Richardson was on "Late Edition" on CNN.

There are a number of apparent inconsistencies in the official version of events surrounding the July bombings which have led to questions, rumours and conspiracy theories.

Many of these can be found on the web. Some call themselves truth campaigners, other are the same people who believe 9/11 and the assassination of JFK were all ordered by the American government.

They list evidence which apparently doesn't add up. For example, the official Home Office report into the bombings stated that the four bombers caught the 7.40am train from Luton to London. However, there was no 7.40 that morning, it had been cancelled. The Home Secretary, John Reid, apologized for the error in parliament, blaming erroneous first-hand witness accounts.

Whichever train the bombers did catch, when they got to London, there appears to be no photograph of the 4 of them together in the capital - no CCTV either, despite London having one of the highest numbers of surveillance cameras of any city in the world.

Of the one photograph there is of the men - questions have been raised about its authenticity. It apparently shows railings coming out of mens' arm.

The E-4B serves as the National Airborne Operations Center (NAOC) for the National Command Authorities. In case of a national emergency or destruction of ground command control centers, the aircraft provides a modern, highly survivable, command, control and communications center to direct U.S. forces, execute emergency war orders and coordinate actions by civil authorities.

The E-4B evolved from the E-4A, which had been in service since late-1974. The first B-model was delivered to the Air Force in January 1980, and by 1985 all aircraft were converted to E-4B standard. These aircraft are assigned to the 55th Wing, Offutt AFB, NE. In August 1994, the E-4B assumed an additional role. With the approval of the JCS chairman, the E-4B will support the Federal Emergency Management Agency's (FEMA) request for assistance when a natural disaster occurs. The E-4B would be tasked to fly the FEMA Emergency Response Team to the disaster site, and become the FEMA command and control center until the emergency team's own equipment and facilities can be set up. With E-4B support, the emergency team's response is a matter of hours, as opposed to days.

Air Combat Command (ACC) is the Air Force single-resource manager for the E-4B, and provides aircrew, maintenance, security and communications support. The Joint Chiefs of Staff actually control E-4B operations and provide personnel for the airborne operations center. To provide direct support to the National Command Authorities, at least one E-4B is always on alert at one of many selected bases throughout the world.

Even though the out-going poodle, Tony Blair, has called for a “journalism
regulator” in the UK, i.e., he demands a censor be appointed, and
he considers alternative news sources “more pernicious and less
balanced” than the government script-reading corporate media, there
seems to be a bit of freedom left to tell the truth in Britain, that is
until the country slides into total dictatorship, a process well underway
thanks to Blair.

For instance, George Galloway, member of Parliament for Bethnal Green
and Bow, on his talkSPORT program, broadcast over the largest commercial
radio station in Britain, continues to get the truth out. Indeed, Galloway’s
program, according to UTV, has pulled in record call numbers and the highest
ever ratings for its weekend slots, even pulling in more than the station’s
Football First program.

In the United States, Galloway would never be allowed near a radio microphone,
especially not on a large corporate station. Instead, here in America,
the large stations are dominated by neocon tools such as Rush Limbaugh,
Sean Hannity, Bill O’Reilly, and the “liberal” stooge
Alan Colmes. In America, Galloway would never be allowed to get away with
telling the truth, namely: Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, the president of Iran,
never called for Israel to be wiped off the map, a lie repeated almost
daily by a corporate media serving dutifully as a warmongering handmaiden
for the neocons, who want to attack the country and slaughter thousands
of Muslims before the decider and Commander Guy Bush leaves office.
